Through different measurement and production processes in the V-belt manufacturers, different lengths are produced across the manufacturer.

However, these differences do not affect the functionality of the belts.

 

Various parameters are used to determine the lengths.

In this case, a distinction is made between external length (length external, short Le), internal length (length internal, short Li), and echoes.

The length of the cable describes the length measurement to approx. 3/4 of the belt according to DIN 2215.

Furthermore, the belt tension specified by the vehicle manufacturer must also be taken into account for reliable length measurement since this is also an important factor during the production process.

 

Because of these different measuring methods, different V-belt sizes can come from different manufacturers with one and the same vehicle.

The belts of Dayco Power Plus are characterized by an insert made of aramid fibers, which give the belt an optimally increased temperature resistance and therefore allow a smaller extension of the length as well as a double the size

Wear resistance in comparison to the polyester products (line standard). The toothing on the back of the belt also ensures maximum flexibility, a larger surface area and better cooling of the belt during use.
